What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon Hydrotherapy, or colonic irrigation, is a gentle internal washing of the colon, which helps rid the colon of waste and aids in the restoration of a healthy colon.
The process involved in your colonic treatment is simple and very private. The client lays on a table that is designed for comfort as the treatment is administered. A speculum, about the diameter of a pencil, is inserted about one inch into the rectum. The water slowly and gently enters into the colon through the speculum. The client is in complete control of how much water is allowed into the colon at anyone time. When the client starts feeling the need to eliminate, he or she simply pushes as if they needed to have a bowel movement. The fecal matter expels out of the colon, into the bowl of the colonic table, and is washed into the drainage.
A colonic is not simply an enema, A colon hydrotherapy treatment takes 50 minutes and is equivalent to about 10 enemas, and is therefore far more effective.
